60cm x 60cm
Oil on Linen
First of a series of works I want to do with my daughter and her 15 year old friends...I want to capture the essence of youth when every cloud brought a new dream...when life promised unsurpassed delights and wonder...when life was exciting and frightening...days of dreams!!!!

I've just started 3 New Series of Works...my 2009 Art-Blog will be filled with these images so I thought I might give you some for-warning. The new series...as usual are once again Feminine based...their good and their bad and the a bit of primordial essence of their/our connection to earth.
-Black Widow Series
-Earthly Feelings Series &
-Feminine Sorrows & Joys Series
There is a small WIP kind of preview of what I will be going nuts with in 2009 underneath, so have a look and write me a line.
Please leave me your comments...however small or big they are, they mean a lot to me, because your input is a reflection of the public out there and it is very important to me...even if your comments are negative, I am just as happy to receive them too!!!

I feel that I have finally completed this work...it was a leason in patience, composition, layering and lighting...but I finally got there. These is probably only a day left of work still, but its only to glaze and final touch ups. Up the top is the complete work, the images above a few details of the work.

I just completed these two paintings, and I will lauch my 'Small Works Art Shop' with these two ladies...I guess my art has always been drawn to Fantastical Realisam, and I suppose I am happiest painting in this theme.
At the moment they are small studies for some large works I plan to start in the next month or so...as well as completing 3 large works which have been siiting around and collecting dust on their pretty shiny oily surface. I have two more of these small works in the making and will post them up as soon as I finish them. I have 1 more week of work left in the office and than I'm planning a long x-mas break...which of course is just going to be a big painting party in my studio!!!!

A million hugs and kisses to Jana and Petra, to their respective partners and Daniela (Jana's friend and student) for giving me their Saturday. I was basically pampered by them for most of the day, and of course main topic of conversation was Jana and the Art World. I spent a good hour and a half in the gallery and just emersed my self in the BRILLIANT art that has propelled and inspired me beyond words.
My art will take a turn at this point...Jana's art has inspired me to search and further improve my expression and drawing skills...and of course I will keep you all updated...

and put something on...so
this is just one of many
works in progress at the
moment, this one will be in
a style of Primal Craft...it
has the same rough texture
of modelling paste on the
edges and the canvas surface
has been primed and sanded down to smooth surface.
I guess here too I am exploring how the elements
juxterposition against eachother, the surreal against the
real, the figurative against abstract, smooth against the
rough...and so on. I still have no title for this work, but
than again it still might change a lot, so I'll title the work
once it's complete and I feel more about what it is
